Our Story
Why does an executive search firm have a business intelligence consulting
division?
When the search firm has spent twenty years helping companies
hire
Information Solutions executives.

In 1992, Isaac Cheifetz founded Open Technologies as a firm dedicated to
recruiting for key leadership roles for Information Solutions clients,
particularly those in Business Intelligence and Analytics.
Since then, Open Technologies has built a reputation for helping clients
solve a variety of challenges critical to growing an information solutions
business, whether hiring a critical executive, networking companies together for partnerships, writing strategic white papers, consulting on organizational structure and executive coaching.
In today's economy, all companies compete with information. Business
Intelligence has gone from an esoteric discipline to an essential topic in the C
suite. But building efficient, accurate and cost-effective Business Intelligence
solutions is difficult.
Why is it so hard for companies to successfully build a data warehouse and
turn historical data into valuable information?
Gartner Research estimates that 70-80% of BI initiatives are unsuccessful. How
can these failures be explained, when the IT tools for managing, analyzing and
delivering Business Intelligence continually grow more powerful?
At Open Technologies, we believe that choosing the right software is not the
most important factor for Business Intelligence success. Just as technology
follows workflow in manufacturing and services automation, so too in Business
Intelligence.
We focus first on Information Integration and then Business Intelligence,
because turning data into information makes building reporting and analytical
applications easier and more efficient.
